PLAINVIEW SUPERETTE is having a different lunch special this Friday. Instead of doing burgers, they will be doing a “Sloperette” sandwich. Friday would have been Charlie Lawrence's birthday and to celebrate Charlie, the Superette is going to have the sandwich he ordered about every time he came into the store.
100% of all the sales for the lunch special will be given to the Two-Rivers Backpack program that helps feed hungry kids. The lunch special will be the “Sloperette” Sandwich, Chips, and a 20oz. Drink for $5.99. For those of you who don't know, the “Sloperette” sandwich is a made with a really thick slice of Petit Jean Bologna, cheese, and any veggies you want on it.
For those of you that may not want Bologna, they will make any sandwich for the lunch special and it will still all go to the backpack program in Charlie's name.
If you can't be in for lunch, you can order the lunch special all day or there will be a donation jar up front and you can just give to the backpack program.
