My third grade students have been working so hard during our first module in Wit & Wisdom, The Sea, and want to share their hard work with you! We have learned all about the sea and sea creatures during module 1 and as of late, we learned what didactic wall panels are. We did a virtual tour of "Shark Alley" at the National Aquarium and paid close attention to didactic wall panels. We learned that didactic wall panels are used in museums and aquariums to provide additional information about an exhibition or artwork. After completing a focusing question task about either sharks or squid, using a source, the students made their own didactic wall panels! These wall panels are hanging outside of my classroom on the wall. We would love for anyone and everyone to stop and read them and enjoy their wonderful artwork. These students have worked hard and I am very proud of them!
