Good morning! Approximately 18 months ago, life as we know it was forever changed. Schools were closed, businesses were shut down, and grocery stores began experiencing shortages. Schools began planning for an uncertain future. We made plans - we revised those plans - we made new plans. We took things into consideration that had never been thought of before. We grouped and re-grouped. We collaborated, and we learned to rely on one another's expertise. We developed innovative strategies to continue to meet the needs of our students, staff, school, and community. It has been an exhausting journey. It has taken a social, emotional, and physical toll. Many of us have suffered illness ourselves, a loved one's illness, or suffered the loss of a loved one. We have been pushed to make decisions, develop plans, and take action for which there has been no precedent. With the rise of the Delta variant of Covid-19, we realize that there are still obstacles to overcome. Current guidance outlines two ways to ensure that we can keep our students and staff on-site: 1. Fully-vaccinated students or staff do NOT need to quarantine if deemed close contacts, unless they have developed symptoms. 2. Individuals exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 will NOT need to be quarantined if they have no symptoms and BOTH the infected and exposed individual CONSISTENTLY and CORRECTLY were wearing a mask. We want to continue to provide high quality, on-site instruction for all of our students. I would like to encourage all who are able to get the vaccine. There will be a vaccine clinic at the following location: Community Pfizer Vaccine Clinic at Food on the Mount DATE: Saturday, August 7, 2021 TIME: 9:00am – 11:00am LOCATION: Mount George Church of Christ Hwy 28 & Hwy 154 Danville, AR No appointment necessary. Bring your ID and insurance card, if available. Despite the hardships and insurmountable odds, we will continue to thrive. We are Two Rivers. Go Gators! -- Dr. Harry Alvis, Ed.D Superintendent Two Rivers School District Office: (833)272-8773
